Join us for the sweetest tour of Georgetown

Here's what you need to know:

  • Please have your Eventbrite ticket handy. If you lose or delete your ticket, ensure you know the name associated with the ticket purchase.

  • Please visit the Welcome Center any time between 10am-1pm on December 11 to check-in. Here, you will receive your Georgetown Cookie Tour Box, a wristband, and a map of the stops on the tour.

    • The Georgetown Cookie Tour Welcome Center will be located at Chase Bank at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and P Street at 3217 P Street NW.

  • The total length of the tour is a little over 1 mile, so come with comfortable walking shoes and monitor the weather to wear attire suitable to cold/warm temperatures.

  • You will pick up your cookies at each of the retail stops between 10:00am-2:00pm. After 2pm, all the cookies will be brought back to the Welcome Center. Cookies will not be available for pick up after 2pm at any of the individual retail locations.

  • Plan to grab a bite. See promotions from restaurants below.

The Georgetown Cookie Tour takes the traditional holiday cookie exchange and makes it a little bit sweeter. GMS will partner with local bakeries and small retailers to encourage a “tour” of Georgetown. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit 12 small, locally owned businesses to build their own box of unique cookies while shopping for holiday gifts. This family-friendly event will promote whimsy and joy, the perfect event to welcome new neighbors to the community and showcase the charming streets of Georgetown.

Tickets are $35 each. One ticket = One dozen cookies. All proceeds from this event will go toward GMS, a 501c3 nonprofit that supports the economic vitality of the Wisconsin Avenue corridor.

TAKING THE TOUR

We're excited to greet you on Saturday, December 9th. 

​

  1. First, you must visit our check in location at 1556 Wisconsin Ave NW, the Georgetown Lutheran Church to pick up your branded Cookie Tour Box and to receive your digital map. One ticket = one box.

  2. Then you'll visit the 12 retail stops in whatever order you would like. 

  3. More details on collecting Cookies will be sharing in the coming weeks.
