COVID-19 RESPONSE

Georgetown Main Street's mission to promote and retain diverse small and local businesses along the Wisconsin Avenue commercial corridor was foundational when the organization was established in 2017. During the COVID-19 pandemic, that initiative is more important than ever before.

The Board recognizes this is a difficult time for small and independent businesses in the Georgetown community. At the end of March, quick and decisive action was taken. Nearly 1/3 of the GMS budget was reallocated into an Emergency Fund that would be used to directly support our small businesses.
